Bass like to be up close to shore. They like to hide in weeds and lily pads. It may look like nothing is there but when you cast out, the bass may hit it right away.

In the weeds and lily pads your going to want to use top water fishing equipment. This is because most of that type of equipment is weedless. It is a pain getting tangled all the time in the weeds. Plus it is more fun seeing the bass jump out of the water and nailing your lure.

You must know how to play your lure. The littlest movement can be a mistake or victory. It depends how you play your bait because you must know how it moves. It must move like it is real.

Bass fishing is a great sport. You can enter tournaments which is very challenging and exciting. You will be able to win money from these tournaments. It all depends on the fee. If it is 80 dollars you will win something but it won't be like the higher end tournaments. If you can afford to be in a higher end tournaments, it's like 2000 dollars to get it. You can win like 60,000 dollars which is awesome but if you lose then you lose out on 2000 dollars. Some people do this for a living. It would be awesome to be so good that you could do it for a living.

Bass fishing is a great way to get the family out of the house. It will be a lot of fun especially if your challenging each other to see who can get the biggest bass. Your family will have tons of fun. When the bass start hitting all the excitement will be in their eyes!
